I just read a wonderful book with ancient stories where they show how the old Mother Goddess, the old Black Earth Goddess from the matriarchal times is still alive in fairy tales and legends. Often the themes and symbols are strongly distorted by patriarchal influences, but they can still be recognised. I found it very clarifying to see how that has taken place. It makes me feel inspired to make images.
