To me these women seem a kind of primal women, archetypes of woman, therefore without a face, not personal. I see the things on their heads not as a funny hairdo, but as a kind of 'feelers' a woman has. You could call it intuition, feeling, a sixth sense, a sensitivity to energies, something like that.
